• On the heels of Tennessee's Trade Mission to China and Korea

  Editor’s note: The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development led a Medical Device Trade Mission to China and Korea from April 15-21. Participants included medical device manufacturers and other health care companies, which visited Beijing and Shenzhen in China and Seoul, South Korea. Trade mission offerings included introductions to potential customers and partners through Gold Key Matching Services provided by the U.S. Commercial Service and attendance at the China International Medicinal Equipment Fair, the largest exhibition of medical equipment and related products and services in the Asia-Pacific region.

  Leadership Health Care (LHC) is pleased to announce Baxter Lee as the scholarship recipient for the 10-Year Anniversary Delegation to Washington, D.C.

  Baxter is a Director of Corporate Development with Emdeon, where he is responsible for evaluating and executing acquisitions, partnerships and other strategic relationships. He is also pursuing an Executive MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

  Finally, the latest edition of the Council's signature Health Care Industry Family Tree is out and viewable online. The Tree chronicles the year-to-year growth in Nashville's health care industry, and is a visual representation of the $70 billion impact it generates. Members will receive the tree via U.S. Mail, but an online form is available to order additional copies.

  And for the first time, the Council is offering an online annual report in addition to the paper version. Catch the highlights or flip through the full version. Copies are available to order as well.
